Standing Tall

At the age of 17, Xingyu had been living in constant pain, with extreme spinal deformity. Past surgeries had failed. CCPF’s team performed a complex, 2-day procedure consisting of 15 hours of surgery. The first procedure was through the abdomen to remove a vertebra, allowing more flexibility in his rigid, boney spine. The second procedure was to replace old spinal rods with new ones. To everyone’s delight, Xingyu was walking straight a few days later and had grown an amazing 10 cm taller!
